Online Tax Bill Payment - Telpay Bank Transfer

The Municipality of Bifrost-Riverton offers Telpay Bank Transfers as a method of payment for Tax and Utility Bills, by transferring the amount owed from your bank account to ours. Please be advised that there is generally a 24 hour delay when adding a payee, and a transaction will take approximately 24 hours to be completed. There are two ways for ratepayers to take advantage of this:

Via your Banking Institution – Communicate with your bank to find out if it deals with the Telpay system. If so, add "Bifrost, RM of", "Riverton Taxes (Village)" or "Riverton Utilities (Village of)" as a biller/payee to your bank account. When prompted for an account number, use your property tax roll number or utility account number. Depending on your bank, the number of digits required may vary. Remove any 0's from the beginning of the roll/account number and add any 0's to the end if more digits are required.

Via the Telpay Website – Go online to http://www.telpay.ca/ and create an account as an individual paying a business. The site will need some information on your personal banking establishment and account. Add "Bifrost, RM of", "Riverton Taxes (Village)" or "Riverton Utilities (Village of)" as a biller/payee and transfer money from your bank account to ours through the Telpay website. When prompted for an account number, use your property tax roll number or utility account number. Depending on your bank, the number of digits required may vary. Remove any 0's from the beginning of the roll/account number and add any 0's to the end if more digits are required.
